QAi / Verification Badge

QAi Verification Badge

The credential-grade counterpart to Architecture Due Diligence. Where a fund or acquirer's own diligence team asks you for a report, this is something you commission for yourself, in advance: DNLA runs the same investment-grade audit a capital allocator would run, and, where the system holds up, issues a QAi Verification Badge you can put in front of investors, banks, or acquirers as independent evidence, not a self-assessment.

The Verification Badge exists because 'trust us, our AI is real' isn't evidence, and every founder in an AI-adjacent raise is currently saying some version of it. This engagement runs the full, scored, investment-grade audit a fund or acquirer's own diligence team would eventually run, ahead of time, so the answer is already in hand before the question gets asked.

Where the system meets the bar, DNLA issues a QAi Verification Badge: a credential you control and choose who to show, not a report that leaks out of someone else's diligence process. Where it doesn't yet meet the bar, you get the Required Conditions instead: a specific, actionable list of what needs to change before it would.

Where it sits in the methodology

Scope of this engagement

All eight dimensions, scored specifically for a capital-allocation decision, with particular weight on Data & Corpus ownership, Architecture defensibility, and Operational Maturity.

Signs it's time for this

  • You're heading into a raise and expect technical diligence questions
  • You're in acquisition talks and want independent evidence ready before due diligence starts
  • An enterprise customer's procurement process is asking for proof of AI governance and substance
  • You'd rather control the diligence narrative than have it run entirely by the other side

How it runs

Step by step

  1. Scoping with the company being assessed: what's being evaluated and for what purpose
  2. Evidence collection and structured interviews, run at investment-diligence depth
  3. Full eight-dimension scoring
  4. Technology Confidence Score and AI Asset Value calculation
  5. Key Risks register and Required Conditions
  6. Badge decision and delivery: issued, or a clear path to earning it

How this compares

The Verification Badge is the formally scored, credential-granting sibling of Architecture Due Diligence, built to be handed to a third party as independent evidence, not just read internally. It shares its full eight-dimension depth with Health Check, but scores and frames every finding for a capital-allocation decision rather than an engineering roadmap.

Answers the questions a term sheet can't: does the company own real AI technology or a thin wrapper, does it own and hold rights to its data, are its benchmarks real, does a technical moat exist, do unit economics support the business model, can the system scale, what regulatory exposure exists, how dependent is it on a single model vendor, can the existing team maintain it, and what survives if the underlying model is swapped out.

What you receive

  • A Technology Confidence Score
  • An AI Asset Value assessment
  • A Key Risks register
  • Required Conditions to earn the badge
  • A QAi Verification Badge, where the system meets the bar

Common questions

About this engagement

What happens if we don't earn the badge?

You receive the Required Conditions instead (a specific list of what needs to change) and can request reassessment once they're addressed. It's a valid, common first-pass outcome.

Who sees the results?

You do, first. The report and the badge are yours to control; you decide whether and when to share them with investors, banks, or acquirers.

How is this different from a Health Check?

Same eight-dimension depth, different audience and output. Health Check produces a verdict and an engineering roadmap for your own team. The Verification Badge produces a scored credential built to be shown to capital allocators.
